Contact A. Description This class is designed to further prepare students for the Collegeboard SAT Reasoning Test in addition to individual or outside study. All three sections of the test (Reading, Mathematics, and Writing) will be covered with the exception of the essay portion of the Writing section. Emphasis will be placed on the Reading and non-essay portions of the Writing sections. The course will focus on test-taking strategies relevant to each section. Explanations and logic of answers will also be discussed. Multiple SAT Test Preparation study books from various companies will be used as class textbooks. B. Course Objectives I. To prepare students for the SAT Reasoning Test in addition to outside study. II. To introduce students to helpful test-taking strategies. III. To provide students with tips and advice from the instructor’s experience. IV. To encourage students to continue or increase individual prep outside of class. C. Attendance No formal attendance policy will be mandated, however, excessive absences or tardies will only be detrimental to the student’s own progress in this class.
