Contemporary Chinese School of Arizona (CCSA) was established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
in the Summer of 1996 to
meet the increasing demand for the Chinese language and culture education using
Mandarin Pinyin and simplified characters. Currently CCSA has over 450 students
enrolled in classes at more than twelve different grade levels and in many after-school
enrichment classes as singing, dance, arts and math. The school sessions are
held on ASU campus.
The school is governed by the School Board which consists of nine board members. It is administered through executive committee headed by the
Principal. All the board members and executive members are volunteers. Since
its inception, CCSA has been an active member in participating community
events, including the annual Chinese Week. CCSA encourages and appreciates
everyone's involvement in many of the school functions.
